DynamiCity holds its kick-off meeting in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat

On 3 and 4 June 2026, the DynamiCity consortium gathered in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat for the project’s official kick-off meeting, bringing together representatives from 36 organisations for two days of work, exchange and shared ambition.

DynamiCity is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by Eurecat, with a clear mission: empowering walking, cycling and micro-mobility for cancer prevention and cleaner, healthier and better-connected cities. To make this happen, the consortium will work across 12 participating cities, each bringing its own context and experience to the project.

The two days were dedicated to real teamwork: workshops and collaborative dynamics to dive deep into the project and build a shared understanding among partners. Janet Sanz, one of the leading voices in tactical urbanism and one of the architects behind Barcelona’s superblocks model, joined the meeting to share her expertise with the consortium.

Partners also had the chance to explore L’Hospitalet de Llobregat through guided city walks, seeing first-hand how active mobility solutions look and feel in the real world, from redesigned streets to accessible walking and cycling routes.

The meeting marked the start of collaboration between DynamiCity’s health, technology and urban planning partners, who will work together over the coming months to design the interventions that will later be tested in the project’s 12 living labs across Europe. The consortium would like to thank everyone who took part, and extends a special thanks to the City of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat for hosting the event.
