City Institute was founded in 2009 as Lviv’s center for strategic planning and development. Our work focuses on shaping a long-term vision for the city, developing innovative projects, and implementing effective solutions to address current urban challenges. Our mission is to support the achievement of Lviv’s strategic goals by uniting the efforts of local authorities, businesses, experts, and residents.
Organisation role in the consortium
The city of Lviv will serve as a follower city, drawing on the experience of the Dutch city Helmond in using digital tools to support sustainable urban mobility. An important component of the project is the implementation of the “Middle Green Ring,” which will connect green spaces in the city center and improve connectivity between parks and public squares through a cycling infrastructure network.
