Outdoor Against Cancer (OAC) is an internationally active non-governmental organisation working in the field of physical activity and exercise for people affected by cancer.
OAC operates at the intersection of theory and practice, translating evidence-based knowledge into practical training concepts and accessible movement programmes for cancer patients, survivors, and their relatives. Through digital education for both health professionals and people affected by cancer, OAC aims to strengthen autonomy, self-efficacy, and health literacy in cancer care and survivorship..
Organisation role in the consortium
In the DynamiCity project, OAC contributes its expertise at the intersection of physical activity and cancer. OAC will adapt its digital training programme, OAC Certified Training, to active mobility and micromobility for people affected by cancer. OAC will also develop and deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum for health and mobility professionals, helping them integrate active travel into everyday practice. In addition, OAC plays a key role in sharing the insights and methods developed in the real-world laboratories across Europe to support the wider use of DynamiCity’s results.
