The University of Twente is a public technical university located in Enschede, Netherlands. The Department of Civil Engineering and Management (CEM) of the Faculty of Engineering Technology at the University of Twente (UT) conducts research in the field of civil engineering and management sciences. The department operates at the interface of Civil Engineering, Social Science (Public Administration and Management Science, Urban planning and Geography) and Data Science. We are a leading Civil Engineering department in the Netherlands with about 50 fte academic staff (WP), 5 fte non-academic staff, 650 students (bachelor and master), 15 EngD students and 75 PhD students and 10 PostDocs.
Organisation role in the consortium
University of Twente has a major role in the DynamiCity project, leading the first work package and severa tasks focused on understanding landscapes, ecosystems, facilitators, and barriers that are associated with active mobility, designing Smart C-ITS for active- and micro- mobility, and assessing the impacts of C-ITS on increased safety and modal share of AMM in the project pilot areas. UTW also support Helmond and Lviv municipalities as pilot technical partner.
