The challenge
Some to 425,000 people, the Cluj Metropolitan Area remains car-dominated outside its compact centre, with fragmented cycling infrastructure. Romania also faces high rates of preventable cancer risk factors and low health literacy, even as Cluj’s oncology institute treats 25,000 patients a year.
What DynamiCity will do
Working with one of Romania’s leading cancer centres, Cluj will design green, low-pollution walking and cycling routes connecting the city to its surrounding natural landscape.
